Roger enjoys a new perspective…
Today’s trip up the mast was more of a reconnaissance than a maintenance trip. We thought we were going to straighten the radio antenna and perform a quick repair on the tricolor light but, as usual, weather and corrosion have taken their toll on the equipment.
The radio antenna needs replacement; we brought the tricolor light down for more detailed maintenance; and the replacement deck light bulb will need to be modified slightly to match the existing connectors. All of which is to say, we’ll be going up the mast again to complete the jobs that we started today (sigh!)
At least the view from aloft is worth the trip.
